Copwriting FAQs
A few common frequently asked questions about my freelance copywriting services….
1. What kinds of copywriting do you offer?
I write B2B case studies, thought leadership articles, SEO blog content, email campaigns, website copy, product descriptions, and more. Whether you’re a founder with a big idea or a business that needs a content overhaul, I can help.
2. Can you sound like me (or my brand)?
Yes - that’s the job! I pride myself on adapting to your tone of voice so your content sounds like you on a good day: clear, confident, and on point. I’m also happy to help you develop that voice if you don’t already have one, based on your industry, customers, and goals.
3. Do you offer ghostwriting services?
Absolutely. I ghostwrite thought leadership content for founders, execs, and domain experts. You bring the ideas, I shape them into standout articles, blog posts or op-eds under your name. I’m here to help you move the conversation forward.
4. What’s your process for writing a case study?
Usually a client will approach me with a customer success story and I’ll handle the rest. After initial briefings and a meeting or two, I’ll interview the stakeholders involved, structure the narrative, and turn it into a compelling asset that builds trust and helps you win new business.
5. Can you help me with SEO?
Yes, I write with SEO in mind. That means balancing smart keyword use with readability. I also offer content strategy and on-page optimisation if needed.
6. Do you work with small businesses or just big brands?
Both! I’ve written for DJI, Deloitte and Slingshot Aerospace - but I also help Yorkshire-based independents and local businesses launch, grow, and get noticed online. I like the variety, and my clients like my ability to handle the small details alongside the big picture vision.
7. How do you handle tight deadlines?
I’m used to fast turnarounds. I’ll hit our pre-agreed deadline with no excuses. Just sharp, dependable delivery.
8. What’s your approach to editing or rewriting existing copy?
Think of me as your second brain (with a red pen). I’ll keep the essence of what you’ve written, but improve structure, clarity, tone, and polish to make your message shine.
9. Do you use AI tools for copywriting?
Yes, strategically. I combine AI’s efficiency with my experience, creativity and editorial judgement. You get speed without sacrificing substance and style.
10. How do we get started?
Drop me an email or fill in the contact form on my site. We’ll chat about your goals, I’ll scope out a quote, and we’ll go from there!
11. How does ghostwriting actually work - won’t it feel weird?
Good question! Don’t get spooked by the ghost in ghostwriting. We’ll have a chat (or two/three), I’ll ask the right questions, and then I’ll shape your ideas into a finished piece that sounds like you - just sharper. You get the credit. I stay behind the curtain. These relationships tend to develop over time. As we get to know each other better, you’ll get more comfortable with the process.
12. What if I don’t have time to do interviews for a case study?
That’s fine, although not ideal. I can also work with briefs, internal notes, or even testimonials or old emails. But if we can speak to the customer, I’ll handle the interview, dig out the golden quotes, and turn their experience into a story that sells your value.
13. Can you help me plan a case study strategy, not just write one-off pieces?
Definitely. I can help you build a library of case studies tailored to different audiences or sales stages, so your marketing and sales teams always have the right proof point at hand.
14. I send newsletters… but nobody opens them. Can you fix that?
Let’s find out. I’ll review your subject lines, layout, tone and timing - and rewrite your emails so they’re something your audience actually wants to open (and act on).
15. Do you write automated email flows as well as one-off campaigns?
Yes. I can build welcome flows, product launch sequences, abandoned cart emails and more - whether you’re on Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or something else. Come to me if you want strategy that meets storytelling.
